transportation-disposal

Hazardous waste must be packaged and transported in accordance with strict procedures and guidelines, while disposal must be coordinated and managed in properly permitted Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facilities (TSDF). Stericycle Environmental Solutions’ combination of specialized personnel, processes, and equipment is designed to safely transport and dispose of virtually any waste type, in any quantity. Stericycle delivers the most appropriate hazardous waste disposal method for any given client while meeting all regulatory and sustainability goals.

Permitted Fleet

Stericycle’s fleet of over 500 specialized, permitted trucks helps customers handle any waste disposal need. The fleet includes over 300 straight trucks, each equipped with tools for efficient weighing and onsite documentation. The fleet also carries the only EPA-approved on-board laser manifest printing systems in the industry. These systems enable timely, accurate manifests to be printed at the customer site. This broad range of truck sizes and configurations allows for compliant, efficient, and safe transport and disposal of any quantity of hazardous or non-hazardous waste.

The fleet also includes:

  • Box trucks
  • Vans
  • Semi trailers
  • Vacuum tankers
  • Stake bed trucks
  • Railcars and intermodal (road and rail) vehicles
  • Sprinter vans
  • Roll-offs

Every single vehicle in the fleet is properly permitted and maintained to meet all regulatory requirements regarding hazardous waste disposal and transportation.

Permitted Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facilities

Stericycle Environmental Solutions maintains a national network of specialized Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facilities (TSDF) and 10-day transfer facilities to ensure that every customer’s waste material is disposed of in the most efficient, compliant way possible. These facilities are subject to regular reviews, inspections, and audits conducted by internal experts, external regulatory agencies, customers and third-party auditors. Inspections and audits ensure that each TSDF or 10-day transfer facility is fully compliant with all laws, regulations, and internal standards.

National Network for Hazardous Waste Disposal

Stericycle’s extensive infrastructure ensures that waste from any location is properly documented, segregated, recycled and destroyed. Highly trained technicians and regularly audited vendor partners from Hawaii to Puerto Rico ensure safe, compliant, and efficient waste shipping and disposal. A network of regional supervisors monitors service and compliance standards in each geographic region. This systematic framework ensures that every customer’s waste is properly managed, regardless of its source.
